One of my first digital work, from January 2007 The face is paper sketch.
I put it again because some people liked it and whished to see it again (he disappeared from my blog and portfolio), so here it is.
I think I should make a new piece of it.

Incredibly creative. It reminds me of the effect achieved when one pours developer selectively on a photographic print (when using analog photography, that is). I never tried to do something like this myself, but I really do like it. How did you get to the wet, smeared effect surrounding the face? And what digital software did you use? Photoshop? Or something else entirely?

I prepared a special paper stuff to photograph and use as the aluminium-grey material in digital (photoshop) and used several smudge effects to get all the stuff messed up arround.

Aaaah. I see. I figured it would be way more complicated than that. Heh, just goes to show that the simple stuff is sometimes the most useful, no? I wish I had some skill at drawing/painting. It would be fun to see the different effects of them when edited in Photoshop.

Ah well, it is what it is. Very lovely, all in all.

It is as simple as to spread out paint with your finger and figure out how much paint, how much pressure, what colour, what direction... : )
