This is my Dusk Prince. A diptych I did first to be a printed object, it was meant to be folded in three pieces, with the front on recto and back on verso.
He stands on my desk at about 24 inches wide, sometimes hidden behind his wings...
It was drawn first with ink on three sheets of paper, lol.
It is now a part of my personal art book on vampires.

Supersweet design. The overall lines, shapes and colours really highlight a character that have been put time and effort into.
Especially the wings and the way you've placed them on his lower back is very inspiring. I myself am putting together a similar creature together these days. Something of a twisted bat from another dimension. It's not sci-fi but fantasy and is worked out with the use of black magic. Cheers for inspiring. Awesome Dusk prince!

Now THIS, I would run away from (no very far, from the look of those wings.) The lighting is terrific off the slick texture of his skin, and so anatomically correct! Really a treat to look at.

Really like this interpretation! I'm so sick of sissy lame vampires, and this is totally the opposite and I love it! I also like your technique, the brush strokes are reminescent of traditional work. It looks like the "first" vampire or something, like maybe vampires originally evolved separately from people and the more they parasitized people, the more like them they became. Or, the "human" look is just a physiological disguise that can be changed back to this form.
